• Craniosacral therapy sessions can often touch us deeply in our unconscious layers. In order to take the greatest care of yourself our session I suggest:

𖦹 Giving yourself time to reflect on the session and what may have come up for you
    𖦹 Drinking plenty of water
𖦹 Trying not to jump right back into work / email / to-dos / scrolling / dysregulating entertainment like true crime or video games
𖦹 Staying warm and being gentle with your body

It’s not unusual to feel a bit tired, slower mentally and/or physically, or even a bit withdrawn post-session. Craniosacral work is deeply restorative and can also activate memories, ideas, or sensations we may not have experienced in a long while or even ever before.

Remember, the guiding principle of Craniosacral Therapy is that our systems are always orienting themselves to our highest levels of health and safety. When our nervous systems experience deep stillness the activation and release of old physical, mental, and emotional tensions can occur. Our minds may be ready to get back “online”, but our bodies and systems may still need—and deserve—additional rest.

    BCTA/NA Trained & Registered, Insured

Before you choose to use my services as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, please read the following information fully and carefully.

Introduction: Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a non-invasive, non-manipulative modality that supports the body’s nervous system and inherent self-regulation. BCST is not designed to treat any specific disease or medical conditions.

RCST® (Registered Craniosacral Therapist) is a designation appointed by the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America (BCST/NA) to practitioners who have completed the full scope of foundational training from BCTA/NA-approved teachers. BCTA/NA foundational training is a 3-year course that requires classroom hours, home study, practice sessions, clinical work, supervision, and written documentation. Upon successful completion of foundational training, practitioners must be endorsed to BCTA/NA, the governing body of biodynamic craniosacral work, to receive their certification and then further register with the organization to receive the RCST® designation. A RCST® is not trained to provide medical diagnoses and no comment or recommendation should be construed as being medical advice.

Health Concerns: If you suffer from a medical or pathological condition, you need to consult with an appropriate healthcare provider. A RCST® is not a substitute for an appropriate medical, psychological, or other healthcare provider. A RCST® is not trained nor licensed to diagnose or treat pathological conditions including illnesses, injuries, diseases, mental or emotional health concerns.

If you are under the care of another healthcare provider, it is important that you let them know of any alternative services you are using. BCST can be a deeply supportive complement to traditional healthcare and it is important to keep your healthcare provider(s) updated on any relief, reactions, or releases you experience with BCST to ensure you have proper processing and support.

Communication: It is the responsibility of the client to communicate any relevant mental and physical health information to the RCST®.

Licensure: BCST is not bodywork (specifically BCST is not massage, nor is it physical therapy, nor is it talk therapy) and does not have independent licensing.

Session Requirements: It is required that all clients are fully clothed for session work. Light touch of the RCST®’s fingertips is recommended but not required for BCST. With the exception of hands, face, scalp and neck no touch occurs on bare skin. Any touch is with expressed client consent and clients may revoke consent and/or end the session at any time. Equally the RCST® reserves the right to end a session at any time.

    Client Consent:

In receiving a biodynamic craniosacral session, clients confirm that they have read and fully understand the above disclaimer and are in complete agreement in complete agreement thereto and do freely, and without duress, consent to all terms contained therein.

BCST IS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE AND ALL COSTS ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT.
